I'm a surface pattern designer, pattern historian and teacher from Stockholm, Sweden.
I want to help YOU become an expert in your field. Through education that gives you knowledge, skills and actual experience with creating a wide range of patterns. So that you can feel confident in your abilities as a designer and the quality of your work when you contact companies.

Do I need a specific program to participate in the workshop?
All you need is a computer, phone or iPad and an Internet connection. And possibly a note pad. You don't need a particular program or art supplies, as we are not going to draw or create patterns this time.
Just grab a cup of your favorite beverage, sit back, watch, take notes and let the lessons fill your brain with new knowledge and tips for your next steps.
I'm a complete beginner at pattern design, is this too advanced for me?
Everyone can participate! This workshop is really about building your knowledge about pattern design and how to learn the craft and get good at it, which is a great starting point for beginners.
You'll learn about pattern history, historical styles every pattern designer should know about, pattern composition, the pattern building blocks, and how to evolve as a pattern designer.
I've taken beginner courses and know the foundations of pattern design, is this workshop the right step for me?
Oh yeah! Bulls eye! 🎯 You are exactly the type of pattern designer student that I was thinking about when I created this workshop, as you'll learn about how you can diversify your work, get better att pattern composition, become a pattern expert and take the next steps in your own pattern design development.
I took this workshop before, is it worth joining again?
The lessons and live training sessions topics are the same as last year, but participants who have come back to take it again say the lessons land differently the second or third time, as you will watch them with a new perspecrive and with more experience. But if you feel solid on the 3 key areas and the 5 composition types already, know how to diversify your patterns and how to elevate your abilities as a pattern designer, this might be more of a refresher than new ground.
What if I can't watch live?
The 4 lessons are pre-recorded videos, so once they are released you can watch them whenever it suits you, from anywhere in the world. The live training sessions are going to be recorded, so you will be able to watch the replays afterwards.
How long do I have access to the lessons?
All lessons and live training replays will be available to watch until September 22nd, 2026. After that they will be closed.
How long is each lesson?
The pre-recorded video lessons are between 15-35 minutes long.The live training sessions (and their replays) are usually around 1,5-2 hours, depending on how many questions you guys have for me. 😊
What time zone are the live sessions in?
All live sessions start at 7pm Central European Summer Time. Which is 1pm Eastern Daylight saving Time in North America.
